In one form or another, under various managers, The San Francisco International Pen Show has been in existence since the 1980’s. The current management of the show began on 2014 with a new motto “THE FUN PEN SHOW”. While many other shows focus on one or another aspect of the pen hobby or business, The SF Pen Show tries to embrace all aspects of the world of Pens. We discovered that the old pen show concept of seeing, buying, selling, trading vintage and “collectible” pens needed to make way for the enthusiastic next generations of pen people: the audience of Users, Writers, Artists, and Journal keepers, and the current makers of new pens and accessories that cater to these needs. And yet our show is filled with rare, vintage and collectible pens. Being located on the West Coast we attract perhaps the largest number of Pacific Rim pen makers and artists. We pioneered the mass Ink Testing Stations concept with over 750 inks pre-loaded into pens. Each year, we host many seminars hitting on a wide variety of subjects that make the SFPS the place to be.
